I recently found out that the claims of ex-members of ICC Boston were given a great deal of support after personality tests of members proved a "personality shift" towards a single MBTI assessment.  What other methods do experts possess that can support the claims of those who assert a church has been abusive?

Michael Langone and others have produced a questionnaire/test that measures "group psychological abuse". Not surprisingly, it is called the "Group Psychological Abuse Scale."    Here's a link for it:

http://csj.org/infoserv_articles/langone_michael_gpa.htm

Langone, by the way, is the director of the International Cultic Studies Association (formerly the American Family Foundation)

There are numerous other psychological and sociological tools that Wellspring uses to determine the level and types of abuse suffered and problems exhibited by the clients. Among these are the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (sort of like the Minnesota Multi-phasic Personality Inventory), and the Beck Depression Inventory.

Hope this helps.
