Hi, everyone -- I know I have posted several positive things about New Life Church in Ann Arbor, our local GCM church, which I attended for a few years. I hope you all won't mind if I do so again -- I think this deserves some positive press.
They recently sent out a note about Ignite 2011, which is coming up in December. Here's the part of it that warmed my heart:
For those of you who are students and going home for the holidays we want to be really sensitive to your time home with your family. We know that some of you may only have two weeks or less to be home and this would really cut into to that. So please talk to your parents and ask for their permission/blessing to go this weekend while your home. If they are really against you going then our advice to you is to not go, and honor their wishes. Take note, O GC churches that are still stuck in the 1970s/1980s.
