I want to encourage everyone here to be careful what they accuse Mark Darling of. About 15 years ago, I was in a church (Not a GCx church). They had a Sunday School Program. A little boy asked to go to the bathroom and the teacher accompanied the little boy. After this the boy told his parents that he had been sexually abused.

The church made an investigation and ended up agreeing with the boy. The man was send to jail and he almost lost his whole family. It was in the local newspaper and the church was harmed a lot by it.

A while later, it came out that the man had not done anything. He could have been smarter and not accompany this child to the bathroom. But he was just wanting to help.

This almost totally destroyed the man, who ended up being innocent.

That particular church learned from the situation and made a rule that a sunday school teacher can never be alone with a child. They always have to be at least two.

That was smart, but I would encourage people to be slow to accuse someone. There is a lot of talk about abuse, but realize that someone accused is also a human being and that an accusation could be also a form of abuse.

I've tried to make this point in other threats, but somehow it came across as if I was accusing the "victim." Some things don't line up with the story. So, I'm very slow to just take this and swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

The only thing that I have read with any sort of "validity" is that Mark Darling has done some inappropriate sexual actions as determined by a board. Whatever that means. There is a HUGE range in what that can mean. But even so, I have heard an investigation like that before in the other church.

Outside of that I haven't talked with Mark Darling for over 20 years.

I would encourage you to read all the posts regarding the accusations against Mark Darling, subsequent investigation, and findings. This is not one women making these accusations but more than five. The evidence gathered by the investigator hired by Evergreen led her to conclude that the accusations were valid. The Board of Trustees of Evergreen agreed with her assessment. If you really want to understand the accusations, the process and the results, I encourage you to wade through the many posts on this site.

This is such crap LOL.

Is Mark Darling being accused by a confused little boy? Nope! 5 grown women and he was found GUILTY by his own church.

We're past the "accusations" and we've moved into the consequences. I'm sorry that you can't accept that. Crazy that your defense is "it's a huge range" - who would ever want to be pastored by someone with such moral failings? Pastors are held to a higher standard.

I don't believe that you haven't spoken to Mark in 20 years, I imagine you're a friend or relative. Peace to you as you attempt to wrap your head around this and come to accept it.

Mark is a racist: Mark says it himself here: https://tinyurl.com/3q54am9  My mind is blown away that he actually says this and even says it is not popular.

Here is a link I created where, again, Mark Darling alludes that in his early days he was part of cult, but he denied that accusation fully. https://tinyurl.com/MDsaysincult

For someone with the name of "Faith" you certainly don't have a lot of faith. I'm not even friends with Mark Darling on Facebook. Don't even know if he has Facebook. I spoke to him many times in 1980, and around 1995 one time. Outside of that, I never talked with him. I got his record and heard some of his messages. I never been to Minnesota.

Blonde,
Let me start by saying that I think Mark was let off easy.  He should have been fired, not allowed to resigned.  I was troubled and disappointed by Brent's message on Sunday and equally disappointed that he seems to have faced no consequences for his role in all of this,  Neither has Mark B., other than what could generously be described  as a slap on the wrist.  To summarize, I am by no means a member of 'Team Mark' or 'Team Evergreen'.

That being said, I have heard Mark speak hundreds of times (maybe close to a thousand, woe is me...).  Based on what I remember of Mark and his teachings and based on the fact that you intentionally removed all context of the quote on diversity in marriage, my strong suspicion is that Mark was talking about diversity in morals, spirituality, values, etc., NOT racial diversity.  If that is incorrect, please post the entirety of the message to provide the context.  If you took this out of context for the express purpose of deceiving people; that is absolutely shameful.  You are doing nothing but reinforcing the narrative that there is a witch hunt against Mark.  This serves no Higher purpose, it only serves to deepen the pain and difficulty of people caught up in this.

Also, the fact that you keep the MP3 in a folder called 'sexy' is just ****ing weird.
