Here is a link just one step closer to the actual messages online :   http://www.theurbanrefuge.com/listen

I just clicked on the one listed above.  Whew!  Scary!

He sounds more like Jim McCotter in this message than any of the GCx pastors I am familiar with.  I mean in the way he continually boasts of his spiritual service, but claims humility over and over.  The way he draws you in with urgency regarding your personal choices of who you are with, what you are doing, and how long you should commit to "it" to "serve God".  The "it" of course here is being "loyal to the local church" as he defines it. Speaking multitudes of pledges and promises over his devotion to "his" people on the verge of tears and then yelling at them at the top of his lungs.  Abusive people talk softly and draw you in and then quickly change their tune and hurt you by lashing words of shame and manipulation.  Though he ardently claims his devotion almost with tears, he actually insults them and puts them down.

In GCx there is a lot of building oneself up on the leaders part, and tearing down toward the weary "followers".  This is one of the traits of a False Teachers.

I could say more about the above teaching's characteristics of FALSE TEACHING, but due to the hour I won't tonight.  But, one thing I will say is don't berate yourself if you have taken GCx leaders' words as gospel.  False Teaching is VERY Deceptive.  That is why the Word says they are wolves disguised in sheep's clothing.  At first glance they seem meek and harmless, but they are quite the opposite.

For grace is given not because we have done good works, but in order that we may be able to do them.        - Saint Augustine

Same basic things Mark has been saying for years, I knew him and his family in particular well and they honestly believe what he preaches, or at least they did when I knew them.
