Has anyone else seen this? It looks like it was posted August 8th 2018. If you scroll down to point #2, this is definitely an interesting
quote.  Here it is in case you don't have time browse

The BOT is the organizational representation of the Evergreen-wide congregation. After examining the facts of the investigation, the BOT was not confident about Mark being a pastor to them.   Since the details of the investigation were known only to the BOT, they knew the facts better than the Evergreen pastors or the church at-large. They determined that if everyone in the congregation knew the facts that they know, the congregation would reach the same conclusion. We believe we should trust their decision to rescind their congregational affirmation, and thus, Mark’s ordination. Just as we wouldn’t insist that the Board appoint a man to be a pastor if the church members opposed it, we would not insist that the Board was wrong in rescinding their affirmation of Mark’s ordination.

Basically in a nutshell this says that if the congregation knew all the details that the BOT knew, that they would then agree with their findings.

That August 8 update was very interesting.  I had never seen that.  It really makes what Mark Darling stated in his recent letter of  "defending his honor." more concerning, and confusing.   He is deceived, and deceiving others.  I would appeal to Evergreen that it is time for Mark Darling to be ex-communicated and renounced publicly.  He is a unrepentant man, who has abused his authority, and lied about his conduct.  I personally was alone with him in the late 80's. Because of that, emotional bonds were developed.  I wrote him praise letters.  The problem with that, is that I liked the praises of Mark, and I knew he liked the praise I gave him.  I had made him an idol for a long time.  I have repented of that.   He is not a healthy man.   My heart and pray in posting on the forum is to continue to speak truth for God's glory and prayers that God will bring freedom to others who have been under the false teachings of a deceived man.   The leaders who also defended Mark and stood beside him all these years, are responsible too.

Thank you, Reaper, for posting this, and thank you, Heidi, for adding your insight.

I understand that the BOT has an obligation to protect the privacy of the victims. At the same time, however, I have a problem with a church culture that accepts the idea of an elite (and secret) few who supposedly know what's best for everyone else. Perhaps in this case, it's a necessary evil, for the sake of the victims. I hope that in all other matters, the BOT will operate with transparency.
