Thank you for informing some of us who have not been following the questionable incidents involving John MacArthur and Grace Community Church in California. This quote below by the former elder who accused MacArthur and the elders of “siding with abusers and endangering victims” in a  20-page document he submitted to the GCC Board really struck me.

“Now that the facts are indeed known, it is not too late to ‘do justice’ even at this late stage, almost 20 years later. One’s own integrity, and upholding justice and righteousness, and being faithful even in the small things, even for something 20 years ago, all matter immensely.”

This is very close to home in GCx-formed Churches —elders siding with abusers (founder and some of his church leaders) and dismissing, shaming and shunning those who don’t bow to the abuse. We have more than a hundred pages of documentation on this website. Might be good to come clean before it may become more public.

If you do happen to read here, Jane, I hope you found a church both you and your husband feel at home and safe in.
