When you searched “Great Commission Churches, GCC, GCM Churches” on Google this Forum was one of the top links on the first page for quite awhile.  That was very helpful to those seeking the truth about these churches.  If you were wanting to research them before you joined or getting confirmation on things that seemed strange to you as a member, you were more easily able to get the facts.

However, the number and order of listed links for this group seem to have significantly changed.  Quite a few now defend this psychologically and spiritually abusive church, with only one link to the contrary.  What has happened?  I'm curious if money is involved in changing the apparent landscape here.  How did this happen?

What can be done have a balanced representation?

Google changes its algorithm all the time. It might also be a result that GCC became so standardized as far as churches is concerned, that people just took it as any other Evangelical church. So, if they didn't like it, they just moved on. There is also very little activity on this forum.... If there were recent reports, then it would become more relevant.... The system is quite old for computers.... I've seen people take their system to Facebook. I like this type of system, because I like using older software on newer computers. Very fast.... I doubt that GCC, which is no longer, paid money to Google to bury your site. If they wanted to do that, that would have been done a long time ago. There are some things that can be done with significant amount of work to bring it up in Google. But I think people moved on....

I have to agree with Kees. As I understand it, the amount of recent activity on a site will affect its Google ranking.
