I love what everythingchrist said in another thread:

making converts to their opinions, not converts to Christ.

I was really shocked at the simple clarity of this.  What do others think of this saying, that GCx makes converts to their (pastor's) but opinions, not converts to Christ?

I think that's a rather dangerous thing to say because it implies that those people are not Christians. Is that the case? Are people that profess salvation within the movement not saved? It's a scary thought.

What I am suggesting and what everythingchrist said in her post is that they, in GCx, who get leadership roles after being introduced, get saved and run in-house ministries in 6 months or less from the point of entry into the movement, may very well not be saved.  What is wrong with saying that they are not?

I knew people at ECC had no real change but for the ships-passing-in-the-night syndrome.  They were in the right place at the right time, saying the right words.
