Hot off of Facebook headlines tonight:

"George Sebek is in the studio with Dennis Clark, having a blast recording many of the old Great Commission scripture songs. Very encouraging!!"

Hmmmm...... this ought to be interesting!!  More conversation says: "It will be available around the middle of June. We're doing it for GCC's 40th anniversary and will be giving them out at our annual Pastors Conference, June 14-16."  Hope I can get my hands on a copy -- I'd love to see what old songs they're doing!

Sweet! I'm sure they'll put it on the website for sale.

Nice to see when it comes to advertising music CDs they drop the pretense that today's GC is somehow not affiliated with the old GC.

Wow, this is really great news!  Please keep us all updated on when/where it becomes available.  I don't frequent the GCx websites.  Wink

I have been hoping for years that those songs would get recorded again.  My old roommate had a well-worn copy of the "Daystar Tapes", that had those songs on them, but they were stolen (!) and I have not been able to find anyone else who has them.

I play and sing the ones I know, and have been toying with the idea of teaching some of them to my church. First, though, I'd have to toy with the idea of playing guitar a *lot* better than I do now.  Cheesy I still play just the way I did for our home group 25 years ago. Roll Eyes

*bump*

Is this the fruit of the Dennis/George studio collaboration?
