On one of the boards I read -- and I'm thinking it might be this one -- there was mention a while back about a person who had a lot of health and depression issues and after seeing many doctors, getting much help, not getting better, finally ended up using large doses of Vitamin D, with remarkable results.  Does anyone remember this??  And if you do, can you help me find the link on this site?  I have someone I'd like to pass this information on to, but I'm having difficulty locating it.  Thanks for any help.

If a person is having those kinds of issues, they need a specialist, not a holistic self treatment.  If Vitamin D were a medical miracle for depression it would be already be used in treatment. If it happened to cause a remarkable result for someone I'd bet it was a placebo effect at work.

Well, that happened to me, I don't know if I posted about it or not.  My Vitamin D level goes really low, and when I take a megadose recommended by my doctor (MD), I feel better within days.  You have to have your levels checked though and then get a recommendation because it's important to get the right dose, not too much and not too little.  With regular monitoring, you can keep your levels pretty steady.  Vitamin B-100 capsules are also good for women if there is periodic depression or mood swings.  It certainly is worth a try.  For severe cases, other therapies are probably warranted, for mild cases that may be all that's wrong.  If I faithfully take those two things, get good sleep, and exercise... I feel like a new woman.  If I let those things go, within two weeks I feel like a mack truck rode over me!  That's just me though, I'm sure everyone is different.
