I was looking at the SGM survivors website the other day, and found a great discussion on false humility vs. true humility. Some of the things that were mentioned rang true from my experience with GCM.

You can find it at www.sgmsurvivors.com and when you click on that site it should be on the first page. It was written by Kris on march 3rd. I found it to be an excellent topic, and some of the comments are laugh outloud funny. :-)

Kellie, I know what you mean.  I went to the SGM site and read that post.  It is all twisted.  Leaders are to be in a servant posiiton; however, with this spin, it's really condescending those being served and making it notable that the leaders are "servants."  This is all I experienced at a GC church as well.  "We're just humbling serving the Lord" And, there's almost always a "you know" at the end.  UGH.  But, pray blessings on these people.  Pray.
