One of Dan and Meg Rude's sons is very sick, on a ventilator and had a horrible attack of RSV.  Dan is the son of Tim Rude at Walnut Creek Community Church in Des Moines.  Dan is a pastor at The Downtown Church.

Even though we disagree on many things, we all love our children, and I would venture to say we all love all children.

Let's all be praying for little Rex.

Our Heavenly Father, I pray for little Rex.  Heal him.  Keep him safe tonight.  Build up his strength and be with and comfort his parents.  We live in a broken world where people get sick and bad things happen.  We know that you are a compassionate God and that you hold us and love us and mourn with us.  Help Dan and Meg and all of their children, and especially Rex, to feel your presence.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Update: Rex is doing better. Praise the Lord. We can continue to pray for his health and for peace and strength for the family. It can't be easy having one child in the hospital and taking care of two more with another one on the way.
