I marveled at how scriptures were thrown around as proof text.  I also marvel at how the Holy Spirit gets thrown around.    I had  a discussion with a former Columbus church member.  I managed to stay detached  and not got caught up in the codependent milieu.

The former member decided to design a board game.  The problem the object,  pathways, and rules  were confusing and incomprehensible at best. It was not well thought.  When I politely challenged the member,   the response was a defensive,  "I prayed about and this is what the Lord told me to do.

I may not be a bible scholar, but at least I knew God is not the author of confusion, but one of peace.   It was all subjective at best.

I think I may remember the same throwing around of Holy Spirit and God's will to fit one's agenda.  It is rather curious.
