As you all know GCM often twists scriptures relating to dealing with rebuke, criticism, etc..

Here's an example from "Responding to Critics with Humility":

"As an example, one lesson we learned through Project Care is that some individuals have a critical nature, no matter how much you seek peace with them. We also became reconciled to the fact that not everyone will
go through a Biblical and honoring process of reconciliation. Instead of humbly seeking peace in a private setting or finding out the true facts behind some accusations, some people have chosen to publicly spread unfair characterizations of pastors and Christians in our movement."

The twisting here is that Paul commands that those who err as teachers be rebuked "publicly, that all may be edified"; just as they've taken Matthew 18 and twisted that scripture too.

There are a lot of examples of how GCM reponds to criticism, twists things, etc... (the posts about "Slander" have examples), and I would like help in collecting all the examples on this forum into one place in order to show a sort of audit on this facet of scripture wresting. Could we do this? I don't want to scour the entire forum all myself, really...and once the forum's existing examples are put forward, could you guys also post or link to your own experiences with such twisting.

A good example would be GCMWarning.com (though a bit different, but...) since the GC story was that it was one erring brother who was in sin and wouldn't repent...and since they dealt with him he was angry; but people around here said it was a multi-person effort in collaboration...could those who made the site put together that story to expose that twisting, and bring it all to light?

And I'd like detailed specifics and if you feel you cannot put them openly on here please private message me (and if you want to remain private let me know and I'll keep it anonymous).

Please consider linking to specific places too, like blogs related, or onto other portions of the site.

Input is welcome from current members, guests, and leaderhip of GCM too...as long as it's not to deny what is already apparent: we have the documents, and we're the ones who experienced it...some of us for a little bit, others for years or decades.

Thanks for considering guys!
