I am interested in connecting with anyone who was in the Norman group in the mid to late 70's. That time was spiritually important to me in a lot of ways and got me thinking about my life and the Big Questions. I wasn't involved for very long. And I was never part of the respected inner circle, so I don't have much of a story to tell.
I left Norman when I was 24 and have been in California for 32 years.  So, it was looking back over the years that made me realize some of the unbiblical, cult-like practices of the group.
I have been glad to become "Friends" on Facebook with a few of the people from Norman Christian Assembly. And, I would like to re-connect with more of you.
My name is Donna. I was an English major. I was somewhat involved from 1976 to 1980.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I can't get over all the work that they put their members through.  Note to pastors:  You are aware that your members have lives, right?  I mean cleaning, sewing, construction, painting, killing cockroaches, cooking, doing the music, setting up chairs, taking down chairs, moving everything, leading stuff... That's a lot to put onto to anyone at any stage of life.  But young  people  http://www.saclongchampfranc.net who are in college should be getting ready for the next phase of life.  Young marrieds should be getting to know each other and setting the foundation for their family.  Young parents should be parenting.

I don't get it.
