Is anyone familiar with Steve Morgan and The Network churches?

Per this site from former members (https://leavingthenetwork.org), it looks like it's another GCX style group.
Just reading some of the accounts from their former members is eerily similar to the accounts from former GCX members.

What's different is that this movement is very recent (within the last 15 years) and broke off from another non-denominational denomination.

What are lessons we can learn from their accounts?

Thank you much for telling us about this very well done site, Lost Creature. It will probably be of great help to those leaving their church organization, and even to those getting out of other similar groups like GCx. Interesting that there is strong moderating including “approved” editing of posts.

Like you mentioned, there are similarities to GCx. This excerpt from their site will sound very familiar to most of us:

Unless a church leader is accountable, and unless that accountability group has the power and authority to tell him “no,” then for God’s people to support his ministry is extremely questionable. For this reason, many churches have set up leadership structures (typically in the form of a governance board) with members who are independent from senior leadership and who can speak truth to power. The Network has failed to operate with accountability for its senior leader, Steve Morgan. He is accountable to no one.

Steve has appointing and dismissing power over the men he has groomed to be members of his board and, as a result, has created a structure where speaking truth to power is a conflict of interest for The Network’s board members. This article will outline what healthy accountability looks like, and how The Network's structure does not hold up to scrutiny.”  (Bold emphasis mine)

From: “What is The Network?”, “No Accountability” (from LC’s link)

Thank you again for sharing, LostCreature. So glad to hear all you and your wife are learning.
