Eric Hoffer's book, "the True Believer" Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements, played a fundamental role in my deprogramming from Solid Rock in the late 70's.

It helped my understand the kids (ELDERS???) who were leading Solid Rock at Ohio State - ironically, a history prof at OSU brought the book to my attention.  No wonder some at Solid Rock didn't want "disciples" to not go back to, or stay in, college.
