I’ve been pretty inactive on this forum for a while, and it’s for what I think are great reasons.

Over the past couple of years, God has performed tremendous healing in me and my family. Most notably, I found a church where I truly felt at home, that embraces both my husband and I for who we really are. We moved recently and I cried when I left, both because of sadness that I was leaving it and because of overwhelming gratitude that the Lord had provided a place that I was sorry to leave. I didn’t think it possible for that to happen - at least not in a positive way.

There’s a lot more that I can say, but for now I just want to ask for prayer.

We’re in a new city, where I don’t know a whole lot of people. Honestly, I’m craving and desiring a church but I’m also scared out of my mind about what the future holds in this realm.

Brothers and sisters - could you please pray for me?

Welcome back, Wingless Butterfly!

It sounds like God is growing your wings back, and that you’re learning to trust them. So cool how he has lead you to nurturing territory.

The way you describe your trepidation in seeking a church in your new town takes most of us right there with you in your fear. You haven’t been out of GCx that long, so we can easily understand your dilemma. And with heartfelt empathy we can pray for you.

Have read your past posts. Appreciate very much your sharing. Would like to hear your continued journey, and how this crucial but scary endeavor of finding a healthy church unfolds when you are ready.

Enthralled with God’s hand in our journey to His healing,

Janet

I read your post a few days ago, Wingless Butterfly, and I've been praying for you. Having made several major moves in my own life, I understand how hard it is when you have to leave a church and community and start all over from scratch. May God guide you to a church where Christ is truly loved and honored.
