I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning,
more than those who watch for the morning.

– Psalm 130:5-6

What precious unity and joy to be celebrating holy Saturday with Christians from around the world! With eyes of hope, we see the reality beyond the reality. We wait in somberness to see the resurrection in the morning. At this holy time, heaven and earth meet. We remember our savior who was entombed, and we wait.

"Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky."
