I just wanted to share this offering from a special branch of the International Cultic Studies Association, as the topics look interesting and helpful to those of us who have experienced spiritual abuse or want to minister to those who have.  Because not everyone identifies with having been in a cult, particularly if it was a Christian church, they developed a special Spiritual Abuse Resources Program and this conference is a part of that.

One of the very first topics seems like it would relevant to this forum, as there has been debate lately on whether GCC is truly a high-control group or just a regular evangelical church:  "Aberrational and Healthy Churches: What Distinguishes Them"  I can't wait to hear what is said about that!

I will be attending ICSA's international conference in July and look forward to listening to a variety of speakers on undue influence/mind control and the power of groups.  I hope to share helpful things I learn there.
