I didn't want to hijack any other threads, so I thought I'd start a new one and make everyone repeat themselves.

What books have you found that have been profoundly helpful to you in your faith? I'm particularly thinking of those that helped you with healing from "GC stuff", and those that have helped you define or redefine your walk with God.
Here are a few of mine:
"Waking the Dead", by John Eldredge. This book helped me to see that my heart is good, because it's God-given, and that it's OK to follow my true heart.
"The Me I Want To Be", by John Ortberg. As of this writing, I'm still finishing it up, but it's goooooood. :-) Ortberg makes lots of great points that seem to directly counter the more misguided of the GC stuff.
"When I Relax, I Feel Guilty" by Tim Hansel. Joy and rest are important, and God-given. I actually bought this book while I was still deep in GC...that, in and of itself, should have been a clue to me back then.
"Inside Out", by Larry Crabb. I read through this book with a group of people, very soon after Valley Brook had left GC. This was my introduction to "psychology is not evil".

It was also the very first time I had considered my own self-protectiveness, and found out it was OK (and necessary) to identify and resolve past hurts.
