I personally that a huge reason for the sexual abuse is that a huge number of Evangelical men (70%) and Evangelical pastors (50%) are watching on line pornography regularly. I see the sexual abuse as a symptom of that problem.
Most of pornography is made of trafficked human people. So, in reality, people, who watch porn are most likely watching rapes. About a million children are being trafficked into the sex slave industry. To get an idea of that number, picture a huge football stadium full of children being trafficked into a life of rapes on a daily basis. It's horrific.
To me it's also sad that when this topic is brought up in most churches, the men are told how bad it is for "THEM", while ignoring the fact of the true victims the people that were trafficked into this horrific industry. Then the men do become addicted to that porn and many families are being destroyed.
Then little children in these days are getting addicted to this porn at a young age of between 9 to 12. This is horrific. Because this sin is one which multiplies and duplicates itself. I.e the abused become the abuser. (I'm talking generally, obviously not about every abused person) So, with this internet porn, we can expect this to only get more and more frequent and it will lead people into abuse, because it is graphic abuse that people are watching.
We can't ignore this. Ignoring it and just dealing with the symptoms is like having a flood in your house, while the faucet is running and investing in mops.
Where is your evidence that 70% of evangelical men and 50% of evangelical pastors watch porn? That's a pretty broad statement without any evidence to back it up.
Most of pornography is made of trafficked human people? Are you kidding? People who watch porn are most likely watching rapes? All of these are claims with zero
evidence to back it up. Don't spout false information if you can't back it up. The pornography industry is a multi billion dollar industry with paid men and women
actors and actresses that have sex for a previously agreed upon amount of money.
