I hear the "Bible Answer Man" use this quote regularly. I wonder if we'd all be better off adopting it.

Are the things brought up here on this forum essential doctrine and practices of the historic Christian faith? I know some were hurt. I know GCx churches have made mistakes, are made up of sinners and are led by sinners. But are we debating essentials or non-essentials? Are we giving liberty and showing charity? Yes, I'm guilty as well.

It seems to me that most of us on this site would agree with each other on much more than we disagree. Worldview, belief in God, Christian faith, moral codes etc. And, as a friend of mine said to me, "When did our friends become our enemies?"

You might want to watch out about that Bible Answer Man.  I don't respect his answers or think he knows his Bible very well.  He gets really bothered when he is under scrutiny for his theology and does not like to be questioned, in my opinion, unless he is on the air and can pick the questions.  He fell apart completely in a debate I saw him in with a theologian who I respect a lot and ended up real huffy and could not defend his position. It's also interesting to see how he came into the position he is in.  I don't think he is very legit.

I like the last part of the quote, though.  We can all use more  Wink!  For sure.  I'll try to work on that too.
