Jeromy Darling writes this on his Instagram page about his father's dubious background:

January of last year my parent’s civil lives were assassinated. They spent their 39th year of marriage in total isolation, cast aside by vicious slander. Today, in a beautiful act of defiance, they celebrate 40 years of marriage.

There’s something special about the number 40 – you’ll find it all throughout sacred history – and I believe this year will bring renewal for them. I have never in my life met more brave, humble and incredible individuals as my mother and father and I’m quite sure I never will. By the grace of God and their sheer, unrelenting determination, they are back from the dead. Every moment of their new, post-assassination life is a loud, burning rebuke to the slander they endured. Not a day of my life goes by that I don’t reflect on how blessed I am to be their son.

Mark and his son Jeromy will always be know for their sexual exploits. Why would the Evergreen Church disavow Mark if it were the other way?

I appreciate that Jeremy wrote this. The Scriptures tell us to honour our parents. It's the first Commandment with a promise. I also put far more stock in what Jeremy would say than what others would say. Especially when it comes to allegations over 19 years old... with not sufficient proof.
