So, I have read this forum at several points since learning of it.  I believe the first time I saw it was shortly after it started, as far back as 2003-05?

Why do I come here when I attend?  Well, I think this is the 3rd time and I come here after allegations around Evergreen arise.  So we all know why I'm back.
Why get a membership and post now?  Feels right instead of being strictly a voyeur.

Started attending Bloomington in 1994, was part of the singles group and God used many wonderful people at Evergreen to help me grow in my young faith.  In the early years I do not think I was ever one of the favorites.  I met my wife there but she never really was a "joiner" and also not a big part of the singles group.  We have been married over 15 years and have seen many friends leave, close friends.  Since the early days I have even been invited to the Pastor's conference and gone through GCLI.

We have questioned our staying a few times.

Why am I still attending and active?
1.  Honestly, because we have never been directly affected like others who post here.  I feel this is in part to three reasons A)  My traditional Lutheran foundation - parochial school, etc.  B)  Emotional health  C)  Level of skepticism or questioning that my wife and I brought with us
2.  We still have close friends at church and we feel loyal to a church that has done much for our faith over the years.
3.  Trying to be part of the change?
4.  I feel that since "The Rock" started the Bloomington location has changed significantly in some of the practices that are mentioned here and I have seen from afar affect others at Evergreen.

Currently, I'm watching how the accusations by Scout are handled and considering other tangible actions.

I know some of you that read this may be able to narrow me down to a few people.  If you must, reach out to me directly if you have questions and want to talk.

Sincerely,
Phoenix
