Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

In the 1980’s my wife and I left GCI (as it was then called).  At that time it was on my heart to biblically examine the doctrine that had just become prevalent among the assemblies, namely, that apostles were to lead the organized assemblies.

Though the resulting article does not expressly address GCI, or any of the leadership, it was my intent to ensure that the doctrine was adequately addressed as to the specifics being taught at the time.  In recent years I have established a theology web site, and have made the article available as an online resource for those who may yet have interest in the topic.
