No Longer Deceived by False Messages of "NOT GOOD ENOUGH"

"I said, 'You are My servant';
I have chosen you and not rejected you."

Isaiah 41:9

(Watch the MercyMe music video below that beats the drum to this crucial passage)

One of the foremost fallacies proclaimed by False Teachers is that their followers must achieve an illusionary level of spirituality which is conveniently established by the "idea" or imagination of the founder or leaders.  The False Shepherd, of course, has well-met and surpassed his much fuzzy notion of 'approved spirituality' and boasts (oh so subtly) in it. He claims his "calling" is to "make worthy disciples" of others in a "divinely revealed" way. He even quotes some scriptures (inaccurately, twisted and out of context) to supposedly support his "divine VISION".  The Word says a False Teacher will invent (make-up or very much exaggerate) stories to further paint his 'spiritual' achievement and authority. He must persuade his 'flock' that he has the APPROVAL and AUTHORITY from above to instruct (actually LORD OVER) his people in the 'MORE divine ways of God'.

"See to it that NO ONE TAKES YOU CAPTIVE through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world RATHER than on Christ."

Colossians 2:8

One of the False Teachers recorded in the New Testament was teaching the young believers that they had to be circumcised to experience the fullness of God. Paul was emphatic in warning them not to let these false teachers JUDGE their spirituality by do's and don'ts which are actually WORDLY Principles. He explains that these regulations have an appearance of wisdom and false humility, but LACK ANY VALUE in restraining sensual indulgence. He urgently encourages and empowers them that the only mystery to enjoying God's fullness is "CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY".  (See Colossians 1:25 - 2:23)

"... In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine sounding arguments."

Colossians 2:3-4

Paul's warns new & young believers over and over throughout the New Testament to WATCH OUT for False Teachers because they come to rob you of your assurance of good standing with God (found ONLY in Christ). Satan uses them to steal your confidence in God's choosing you TO BE HIS SERVANT by getting you on a hideous ladder of self-effort; to DESTROY your BOLDNESS in power and authority as priests before God by telling you that you must earn it; and to kill your gratefulness and joy by causing you to doubt his approval of you. Thus, causing you to be persuaded God disapproves of or rejects you and your usefulness for his His Kingdom.

But YOU, O Israel (O believer), My servant,
Jacob (say your name here), whom I HAVE chosen,
you descendants of Abraham (who are righteous by Faith and NOT works) MY FRIEND,
I took YOU from the ends of the earth,
From its farthest corners I CALLED YOU.

(My paraphrase of Isaiah 41:8,9)

How we are taught, by "spiritual" teachers, that God views us
makes all the difference in the world!
