Make no mistake in understanding me..... my time with the GC church was not healthy for me, my ex-wife, or my children. I fled from them and it stunted my ability to understand and live in this world.

But one good thing happened..... I was heavily involved with using marijuana before I joined GC. I grew it, smoked it and defended it's usage.   Once I joined ISU Bible Study, that ended in one day and I never looked back.

Someone could say that it could have happened with any other church as well, and it could have. But I wasn't attracted to any other church. God's actions on my behalf were through this group.

That may sound odd,   but nothing can change what happened. I hadn't thought of this for years but last night as I drove home from a job it hit me.  I was immediately grateful to God for His mercy and grace, even through such a damaging experience.

I can relate.  God works through our hearts and I know my heart was in the right place when I was in that group .... and not all was bad.  After all, I had three beautiful children!

Yeah, I met my amazing husband there, and I'm so thankful for our relationship.

Plus, it's given me something to write a book about.  Wink
