Jeromy, as a woman with friends who've been raped, I'm frankly appalled at the way you're using your mother's and wife's tragedies as  your trump card here. I skimmed over the PDF as a courtesy to you and because I do want to hear both sides. However, your disrespectful conduct here has not earned you the right to be heard any further by me.

Skimmed over is not a courtesy, you ARE afraid to read it. And now you're denigrating my mother and wife's rape even further by not acknowledging their names. I'm on this forum to stay - why don't you show a little courage and tell us your full real name and which church you went to by the way?

Personally I'm interested in what everyone's plans are tonight?  I'm having a big dinner party at my house, should probably go get ready for that.  And, how's the weather where you are?  Nice and sunny here today.

Let's also take ownership for our own actions.  I cannot make anyone do anything.  I am responsible for my own actions, not for another's.

It's like self-discipline in karate. Smiley  Someone else's words should not draw you into a fight.

I think 1 Corinthians 5 better describes your father's current situation and Evergreen's as well.

So you're also not interested in my mother and wife's rape or sexual abuse? Also, what's your name? No one on here even has the guts to use their real names. Hiding behind a keyboard and fake name literally shows the entire world that you're afraid...

Apparently I don't know yours, Jeromy.  Did you run by your responding to your father's critics on the internet with Mark Hopler?

Jeromy, if you would like to start another thread to discuss sexual abuse, rape, assault, in a healing and productive manner, that would be more appropriate.  I am terribly sorry to hear that people you love had that experience but I don't understand why you are waving their stories around to attack other people?

And honestly, I'm glad I don't live in the same city as you because I would be legitimately afraid if you showed up at my door.  You seem a little unhinged and way angry.  No way am I telling you my name.

The dinner party sounds like fun, Rebel. We've all got colds here so we're taking it kind of easy. Just chillaxin' with the grandkiddo.

Raining outside right now. Maybe it'll wash all the old snow away.

Huldah, I bet being a grandparent is so fun!  That is the main reason I had kids, lol!  My kids are so spoiled by all of their grandparents, it is so fun to see their relationship.

It will be awhile before the snow melts here.  That's March for you.

We are also getting over colds.  This winter has been the worst for illness.  Although I'm glad we didn't seem to get any actual influenza, so we must be lucky there.

Well it's good to see that the 10 people of 30,000 that are currently angry with our movement aren't the brave, quality folks I hoped they would be. Mocking my letter, my father and my family and discussing the weather and dinner plans broadcast your true heart to any of the rational folks that skim this website. You're not afraid of me - you're afraid of what i represent and for that I'm deeply honored. If it makes you feel good to post anonymously on a website with 15 active members, then I guess I know all I need to know about you all...

I've read the letter in it's entirety.

It is perhaps one of the most disturbing pieces of writing I've ever read. I'm so sorry that this is affecting you in the way it is. If you need information on a counselor to help you through your struggles of reconciling that your dad the abuser is the same dad who loved you, I'd be happy to give you some recommendations. I'd even be willing to assist you financially if that is a hinderance keeping you from pursing that line of help and care.

All the best to you.

Yes, Rebel, I adore being a grandmother!

I'm glad to hear that the flu hasn't touched your family. Same here. If I may, though, I'd like to ask for prayers for a little boy in our community. (Not someone known to me personally; I heard about him on the news.) He got the flu, then a bacterial infection set in and gave him strep throat, then his lungs went necrotic and now he's on a ventilator in the hospital. If everyone reading this thread would take a moment to pray for little Levi and other children fighting the flu, I would appreciate it.

You guys are so sad.

I'm pretty sure Jeromy followed the rules of this site and started his own channel to talk about the things he wanted to talk about.

Do you honestly feel okay with yourself that he's trying to discuss his wife's and mother's sexual abuse and rape in the past and you are trying to drown him out with your dinner plans and the weather?

I know you don't. But honestly, this is a new low for this site.

Jeromy, I did read every word of your letter if that gives you some satisfaction. Full disclosure - I did not listen to your soundcloud as requested. Your letter felt very angry and accusatory to me and I can tell you're very upset today. I imagine you're feeling very angry at your father's critics and perhaps most of all, angry at his accusors. You have a lot to lose if your father is found to be a serial abuser, if he is removed from leadership, if he falls out of favor with Evergreen and Great Commission. I imagine that would be an incredible blow to you and your family. I feel sympathy for the position you're in and I hope you find your way through your anger to some peace.

Since you mentioned it, I did look at your 501c3 filings and there is no financial information available. I can understand you might prefer to keep the source of your income private, but you should not tell people it is public information when it is not public. Also, your board of directors is unavailable so there's no way to know if your father is a board member in control of your income.

Jeromy, you are wrong.  I would be afraid of meeting you in person.  If you are honored by that, so be it.

Huldah, that is so heartbreaking to hear about poor little Levi. From what you describe that sounds like a bad prognosis?  I pray for healing for precious Levi, strength, courage, and peace for his family, I ask for an outpouring of love and support from their community to help them during this awful time.  And I pray that they feel your presence every step of the way, Lord.  We have our ultimate hope in you, but there is pain we experience as humans that is just hard to understand and at times unbearable.  Thank you for the example of Jesus loving his little ones.

So far he's holding his own, but every day has struggles. His dad is updating regularly to Facebook. If no further complications develop, they're estimating a few more weeks in pediatric ICU followed by perhaps six months of rehab. It's still dicey but there's also hope. Thank you for praying!
